Raw honey is best described as honey “as it exists in the beehive.”
Our “Liquid Gold” is harvested by extracting the honey from the comb, allowing us to return the honeycomb to the bees. This allows us to harvest the honey while minimizing disturbance to the colony. It also allows the bees to reuse their existing comb, saving them the time, energy, and effort required to rebuild it.
We use the natural beekeeping methods taught by Dr. Leo from Russia. We keep horizontal hives rather than traditional vertical hives, creating what we believe is a more natural hive environment and minimizing disturbance to the honeybees.
We also do NOT use sprays inside our hives.
Because honeybees can forage over several miles from their hive—and we cannot control everything they encounter while foraging—honey cannot be certified organic.
